Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

The Richland Library and Literacy Center is located at 370 Scarbrough Street, next door to City Hall. You may obtain a library card by bringing your driver’s license or other document containing your name and current address (i.e., mail, a check, etc.) to the library with you. Videos, books, and books on tape are available to borrow at no charge.

The Literacy Center, made possible through the generosity of Weyerhaeuser Corporation and Faith Hill/Warner Brothers, provides GED study, ACT preparation, GMAT and LSAT preparation, and adult literacy training. The center utilizes interactive computer software and provides Internet access. Please call the Richland Library and Literacy Center at (601) 932-1846 for more information.

Friends of the Library

Friends of the Richland Library members volunteer their time, talents, funds, and influence to improve and expand library services, and, by extension, improve the quality of life in the community. Friends of the Richland Library have hosted book sales, bake sales, and the annual Christmas Tree Gala / Open House. The Friends meet on the 4th Thursday of every month (except June, July, and December). Annual membership dues are $5 – individual, $7.50 – family, $25 – organizations.
