  • Coaches will be selected on the following criteria:
    -Need
    -Past experience
    -Prior record of performance
    -Confidential background check
    -Certification by National Youth Sports Coaches Association
  • All players must live in the Richland School zone or attend Richland Schools as outlined by league affiliation rules.
  • All officials shall be certified and paid at a rate established by the City of Richland Parks and Recreation Department and approved by the Mayor and Board of Alderman. Officials will be supervised by the Parks and Recreation Director or his designee.
  • Rules of conduct are established by the City of Richland Parks and Recreation Department and approved by the Mayor and Board of Alderman.
  • All rules of play shall be established by the Parks and Recreation Department as outlined by league affiliation, Mississippi High School Athletic Association or other appropriate organizations.
  • Rules for special events or tournaments held on City property may be established by Parks and Recreation Department.
  • All uniforms and equipment will be purchased following the State of Mississippi purchasing laws.
  • Registration Cost varies as indicated on Sports Rate Page. All programs will have a non-resident fee of $5 per child for children that do not live in the City Limits of Richland. A $10 late registration fee will be incurred if circumstances allow the addition of participant(s).
  • At the time of registration for the above referenced youth sports, the City of Richland Parks and Recreation Department will require a completed registration form, the registration fee(s) and a copy of the participant’s Birth Certificate.
  • The City of Richland Parks and Recreation Department will provide sample uniforms of various sizes for the participants to choose from. When completing the registration form, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that the correct uniform sizes have been selected. If for some reason the incorrect uniform size(s) have been selected during registration by the parent, the parent will be responsible for purchasing the replacement garment(s).
