The City of Richland would like to inform residents that Old Highway 49 at Carrier Boulevard and Aerosmith Drive will reopen to traffic tomorrow morning.

BURN BAN LIFTED

Effective September 15, 2026, the Rankin County outdoor burn ban has been lifted by the Rankin County Board of Supervisors and Mississippi Forestry Commission.

⚠️ Please continue to use caution when burning. Never leave a fire unattended and keep water and tools nearby.

🚫 Burning household trash, plastics, tires, and treated or painted wood is prohibited under MDEQ rules.
