The City of Richland would like to inform residents that Old Highway 49 at Carrier Boulevard and Aerosmith Drive is scheduled to be closed beginning Monday, August 17, 2026, as work continues on the intersection improvement project.

Detour signs will be in place to assist drivers in navigating around the closure. Everyone is encouraged to plan ahead and allow for additional travel time.

The contractor has provided an estimated closure timeline of approximately four weeks. Please note that both the start and completion dates are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
